Math 8, Part 1

This course introduces students to the fundamental algebraic principles necessary for success in upper-level math courses and fosters math inquiry and problem-solving skills. Students will learn about tools for solving equations, transformations of geometric figures, proportional relationships, and the equations for straight lines.

This is the first course in a two-part Eighth-Grade Mathematics series. It integrates the Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes (KSA) model to promote academic achievement, real-world skill development, and social-emotional growth for college and career readiness.

  • Knowledge: Mathematics 8, Part 1

  • Skill: Communication – Communicate Using Writing

  • Attribute: Respect
