Credit
Requirements

To graduate from Aivance Academy, students must successfully complete all coursework as outlined in their graduation plan. A minimum of 21 credits is required for graduation. Students may transfer up to 15 credits from regionally accredited institutions; however, the final 6 credits must be earned through Aivance Academy in order to be eligible for a diploma.

Students are responsible for submitting official transcripts reflecting previously completed high school coursework. While our team can assist in requesting transcripts, it is ultimately the student’s responsibility to ensure transcripts are received and processed.

Please note: duplicate courses (e.g., retaking Algebra multiple times) will not count toward graduation or residency requirements. These courses will appear on the transcript and graduation plan under “Additional Courses,” but only one will count toward credit requirements.

Course Details

To begin the graduation process, eligible students must submit a Graduation Application. This initiates a formal Academic Review—called the Alumni Approval Process—to determine if all requirements have been met.

This comprehensive review includes transcript evaluations, credit audits, academic integrity checks, and a full review of the student’s academic history. The process typically takes 3–5 weeks, though it may extend to 8 weeks depending on seasonality, NCAA requirements, or missing documentation. Students are encouraged to apply at the beginning of their final semester. An optional rush fee may be available to expedite processing.

Please Note: Submission of a Graduation Application does not guarantee clearance for graduation. If additional credits are required, the student will be notified and must complete them before graduating.
